Job Description

Financial Accounting Manager Location: LeicesterSalary: £50,000 plus enhanced benefits and up to 10% bonusOur client, a highly successful and growing food manufacturing company is now looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to join their busy Finance department in their Leicester head office.Reporting into the Head of Finance, this a new role that will support the Finance function through some very exciting changes and period of growth.   • Ownership of Balance Sheet and management of working capital
  • Ownership of Statutory Accounts and Audit
  • Take the lead on projects to streamline and automate business processes
  • Business partnering with budget holders in the business to aid understanding and ensure ownership over budget
  • Take a lead role on their most recent ERP Implementation Project
  • Take a lead role in the corporate budgeting and forecasting process
  • Manage the CAPEX approval process and fixed asset register
  • Ensure tax compliance (Corporation Tax, R&D, VAT and Payroll)
  • Oversee and improve the financial control environment across the business
You will need:
  • To be a Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) with previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Statutory Accounts, Audit, and Tax Compliance is essential
  • Hands on experience of an ERP Implementation project (MS Dynamics) would be highly desirable (not essential)
  • Project management experience would be beneficial
  • An understanding of payroll would also be beneficial but is not essential
  • Must be able to build strong relationships with the key stakeholders in the business and work collaboratively across the business
  • Be comfortable working at pace, in a fast-paced environment
  • You will have the scope to improve business processes and be innovative and forward thinking in your approach
  • Titles wont mean much to you, as you demand respect through the delivery of results
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex principles and ideas into plain language for the wider business.
  • Able to flex style to suit different situations & personalities
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Ability and confidence to present to the Board and SLT as required
