Job Description

Our mission is simple… to help the world Love Mondays.Every week, thousands of people across the UK start a new job – and it’s our job to help them get there.REED is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutionsWe require a Project Manager to cover an existing workload within Salford CityCouncil, based in Swinton.This is an interim position initially for 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.Skills required to be successful in the post:

  • Experienced in similar Public Sector / Local Government projects
  • Professional credibility and experience of successfully initiating, managing and delivering a number of projects simultaneously within a complex organisation.
  • Experience of managing and successfully implementing projects which have delivered improved services to residents.
  • Qualification and proven expertise of working with PRINCE2, AGILE or similar project management methodologies.
  • Strong evidence of understanding and application of risk and issue management including using problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Experience of devising and delivering change programmes and facilitating working parties to deliver change.
  • Ability to operate at both a detailed and strategic level – maintaining attention to detail while focussing on the important issues. Able to innovative, be creative and think through novel problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation and communication skills together with the ability to develop and maintain highly effective working relationships through a number of different organisations.
  • Well-developed organisational and analytical skills ability to work independently and interpret complex data and issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities with short deadlines.
  • IT proficient with excellent skills in use of Microsoft office products.
  • Job Purpose:
  • Effectively led project management of our vaccination programme and plans to prevent, contain and limit the spread of coronavirus in the city and to support our residents and businesses.
  • That projects ensure programmes and plans work effectively with GM and national systems.
  • That projects support businesses and organisations across the city to adopt safe workplace practices.
  • That projects align with the wider programmes of the council and broader Public Health strategic issues.
  • Key stakeholder, service, partner, officer and resident experience are central to all projects and strengthen our joint relationships and systems across the whole of the city.
  • Key stakeholders, services, officers and partners understand and are ‘bought in’ buy-in to assigned projects.
