Job Description

This roleWe are recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer to ensure customers living in our properties are warm, safe and dry and experience a first class repairs service delivered from us by our contractors. You will help to resolve complaints, carry out preand post inspections, raise and authorise works orders, as well as liaising with contractors, Consultants / Inspectors and internal departments.You will also collate and supply Housing and Data Management teams with all regulatory records and files and ensuring these are certified, as well as reporting on operational progress by contractors and Metropolitan Thames Valley maintenance staff againstperformance targets.To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made.What youll need to succeed

  • Experience of working with teams in dispersed geographical locations
  • Ability to explain technical or complex information to a varied customer base
  • Experience in delivering a quality repairs service in a partnership working environment
  • Able to challenge and support commercial and contract management
  • Able to build and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other teams to improve service effectiveness
  • High level of technical knowledge and diagnosis skills in a maintenance environment including specialism such as C&S
  • Working knowledge of health & safety including CDM, Asbestos and all other regulations relating to the delivery of Maintenance work
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering service excellence to a customer base
