Job Description

Job title: SAP BASIS AdministratorPurpose: Primary responsibilities will be to minimise the adverse effect of incidents and problems that are caused by errors within the SAP environment and to prevent the recurrence of these incidents. To provide end-to-end S/4 HANA, PI and SOLMAN on a HANA and ASESysbase DB platform that will lead the overall planning and execution of major customer initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to,

  • New Software Installations
  • Upgrades
  • Client and database copies.
  • Batch job scheduling.
  • Transport Responsibilities
  • Printer Maintenance
  • Security management.
  • Database monitoring, parameter tuning and configuration
  • Ad hoc backups and copies
    • Knowledge & Experience:KNOWLEDGEEssential:
  • Knowledge of operating systems (SUSE Linux & Windows Server 2012 onwards)
  • Knowledge of AWS Public Cloud.
  • Monitoring and tuning of system performance
  • Database monitoring, parameter tuning and configuration
  • Application upgrades and patches
  • Client creation and copy processes
  • Managing of systems used during development and testing cycles
  • Ad hoc backups and copies
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level applications
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Strong customer service orientation
    • Desirable:
  • In-depth operational knowledge of Shared Service Centres
  • In-depth operational knowledge of all technical aspects of SAP
  • ITIL Service Management foundation practitioner
  • Project management skills
    • EXPERIENCEEssential:
  • Technical experience with SAP products on S/4 HANAv1809 onwards
  • Technical experience with SAP products PI 7.5
  • Technical experience with SAP products SOLMAN 7.2.
  • Technical experience in the following DB’sHANA and ASESybase Database.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technical products/systems PERL Scripting; Shell scripting; Unix; Web Logic; Websphere; Windows NT
  • Experienced in the use of SQL and SQL DB
  • Experience of working in AWS Public Cloud.
  • Experience in the administration of application servers a 3-tier architecture in a high availability environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP business processes associated with HR , Payroll, Finance and Procurement
  • Experience in configuration and release management
  • A successful track record support ICT system.
