Town Planner / Senior PlannerPenguin Recruitment is please to present an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious Town Planner or Senior Planner in Swansea! We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious individual who is looking to join an expanding, friendly consultancy,and gain experience across the broad spectrum of planning.My client is a dynamic Planning and Development Consultancy with offices in Swansea and Cardiff. The current team works across a range of sectors, with the main pipeline of work coming from the residential, commercial, healthcare, waste and energy, leisure,rural, and heritage sectors.RoleThe role requires someone that is capable of maintaining the highest standards of client care as well as the ability to win new business through delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a number of complex projects and duties willinclude site appraisals, public consultation, project management, preparation, submission and monitoring of planning applications for a range of developments including residential, commercial, leisure and renewable energy development. The role will also requireproject management of an appeal caseload including written representations, informal hearing and public inquiry submissions as well as negotiating section 106 legal agreements.Skills/ExperienceEducated to degree level or equivalent, you will ideally be a Chartered Member of the RTPI or working towards being a Chartered Member of the RTPI. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, a sense of humour, the ability to work well withina team, commercial awareness and project management skills in line with your experience and be flexible and adaptable in your approach. Previous local authority experience would be of benefit but is not essential.
