The business offers the security that comes with being a long standing marketleader in a high growth and future proof sector, an exciting environment with a record breaking company, a friendly and supportive senior team and the opportunity to continue to develop your career in an evolving and growing business.This is what youll be doingYoull manage Planning, Purchasing, Internal Sales/Logistics, supporting the companys commercial strategy to achieve financial goals, updating and analysing inventory and performing analysis of supply chain data.Responsibilities will include:Managing the Purchasing team to make sure components arrive on time and at the correct location even when a deadline is tight, and forecasts are subject to change. Manage the Planning and Internal Sales teams to make sure order achievement to tight forecast requirements and on time delivery.Ensure the MRP system is set up correctly (e.g. MOQs, lead times and buffer stock)Oversee the Purchasing and Planning requirements for additionalfactory.Liaise with all internal teams to enable the smooth running of the business requirements.Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers.Management of long-term purchase commitments in line with forecasts and adjust accordingly.Track inventory usage and adjust systems in line with actual performance.Ensure the import of goods is in accordance with HMRC rules.Review the Purchasing and Planning functions to ensure they are operating as documented in the Quality Management SystemMonitor and review supplier performance to ensure delivery is in line with corporate expectations.Keeps a well-organised collection of contracts and Quality documents for easy reference when needed.Attend Production and R&D meetings to ensure the Purchasing and Planning functions are aware of all relevant activity.
