Job Description

Cordant People are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef & Commi Chef to join a well established, award- winning Hotel located on a beautiful seafront location in the Gower Peninsula.Working hours: 40 hours per weekSous Chef Salary: £30,000 paCommi Chef Salary: £10.50ph based on a 35-40 hour weekPermanent positions, Immediate starts availableThe ideal candidates will be experienced working in kitchens, driven, passionate, focused and have a creative flare for food. Taking a bistro style bar and helping drive it into the current market with your team . You will be expected to adapt to peaks andlows and be able to work at pace when demands/ season dictates it.Role Summary: To deliver the very best standards of customer service and presentation for the hotel guests at all times in all areas of the hotel. Ensuring all Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to and exceeded. To be driven & focused inachieving the business vision with your team.Reports to: Head Chef/ Operations Manager.You will be required to:-

  • Ensure that all food prepared, cooked, and served at the Hotel is to the highest standard and understand the importance of presentation.
  • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are in good working order at all times, and to report maintenance issues to the Head Chef.
  • To recognise the importance of allergies and ensure allergy information is consistently conveyed to the Bistro Manager for all current food being served.
  • Ensure the kitchen is always operating at the required level of cleanliness in line with EHO 5* regulations.
