As a Senior Software Engineer at DVLA, you will be an integral part of the Applications team, developing modern, cloud based software at scale. £40,808 to £51,454 (including allowances assessed at interview) plus excellent Civil Service benefits and 27% pension. Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:You will be an experienced Software Engineer or Developer who can:* Work within a technical framework of the project to meet customer requirements * Develop Software in an agile team environment * Application Support * Work closely with business analysts and agile delivery managers to prepare and review user stories and tasks * Some testing responsibilities * Mentor junior developers within the team Essential Skills and Experience as a Software Engineer:Youll have demonstrable skills and experience of:* Working on one or more software delivery projects, preferably large scale* An in-depth understanding of one or more coding languages * A solid approach to producing modern, testable code.
