Job Description

Senior EstimatorAre you a Senior Estimator looking to embark on the next stage of your career, or simply in need of a changeDo you enjoy analysing and estimating technical enquiries through quotation Do you enjoy working with clientsOur Swansea based client is looking immediately for a Senior Estimator to join its experienced engineering team.This company designs, manufactures and installs bespoke heat transfer and high-pressure equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, boiler equipment and superheaters in the petro-chemical and power generation industries.The role:

  • Work with engineers to agree on the most cost-effective methods for manufacture ensuring quality of final equipment.
  • Submit technical enquiries to material suppliers and service providers to request quotations.
  • Prepare and formulate estimate sheets recording all costs and submit detailed quotation letters to customers requirements ensuring all technical and commercial points have been included and any deviations listed.
  • Ensure quotations are submitted on time to customer requirements including any supporting documentations, and follow up quotations (price, delivery, status).
The person:
  • At least 5 years experience working in a similar role for a company that manufactures machined / welded components.
  • Qualified to minimum of HNC level in engineering, or proven experience in a similar role and industry would be sufficient.
  • Driven individual with a focused emphasis on reducing costs and securing sales orders.
  • Experience of pressure retaining and heat transfer equipment and / or knowledge of ASME or EN 12952 design codes would be beneficial.
