Job Description

Self Employed Courier (Part Time)Ever thought of being your own boss Love driving Have a natural flair for delivering excellent customer service If your answer is yes then we might just have the perfect opportunity for you!As a Self-Employed Driver, we can offer you variable hours work over a 7-night operation, giving you plenty of opportunity to earn a great income at a competitive rate. The part time roles we have available can vary from 4 hours per shift (AM start time).Although being a Self-Employed Courier means handling your own finances, you wont be on your own as youll join a network of experienced self-employed drivers who choose to provide delivery services to Menzies Distribution. We promise to promptly pay yourinvoices weekly, accommodate your preferred route wherever possible, and give you up-to-date tools to deliver the scope of work, including our track and trace technology.Although, Prior delivery experience isnt essential but, it would be advantageous if you were familiar with major motorways, streets, commercial and residential addresses.WHAT YOU NEED

  1. The Right To Work in the UK with no serious unspent criminal convictions
  2. A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence
  3. 3.5-tonne van (Transit or similar)
  4. Goods In Transit Insurance
  5. Public Liability Insurance
  6. Hire and Reward Insurance
  7. No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  8. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  9. Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
PLEASE NOTEIf you do not currently own or have access to a 3.5-tonne vehicle (Transit or similar) you must be in a financial position to be able to lease or purchase one. You will also need to have all insurances (Goods in Transit, Public Liability & Hire and Reward)in place prior to starting.Financial considerations you will need to be aware of include;
  1. Van Deposit
  2. First Months Rental
  3. Commercial Insurances
