Job Description

RoleQuality EngineerSalary£35,000£40,000 per annum dependent on experienceType: Permanent Location: Swansea My client is a leading designer and manufacturer in the automotive sector, supplying customers around the world. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.Attributes the client will be looking for from the Quality Engineer:

  • More than 2 years experience working a similar Quality position
  • Exposure to working in an IATF16949 and ISO9001 manufacturing setting
  • Desire to problem solve
  • Knowledge of Process Audit VDA 6.3.
  • Experience using tools such as Six Sigma, Shainin, DFSS and Taguchi are desirable but not essential
  • Have good communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of GD&T and APQP
  • Experience using MS Office
  • The ability to work well alone as well as part of team
The Quality Engineer role will include:
  • Supporting the Quality Manager to implement, enhance and work with the companys management system to meet customer requirements and expectations
  • Supporting the Quality Manager and the team to keep reports and records organised and updating accordingly
  • Working with all departments on product development
  • Acting as internal and external customer liaison when involved in product launch
  • Ensuring quality of in-going and out-going materials
  • Ensuring adherence of regulatory, quality and customer requirements
  • Producing and upgrading when needed prototype and early-stage production containment instructions for developing and getting programs started
  • Improving processes and procedures
  • Using quality planning concepts such as DFMEA and PFMEA
