Job Description

Production ManagerOur client is a world leader in theproduction of titanium for the aerospace industry; they are part a hugeGroup, a rapidly growing Fortune 500 company, operating in the engineering and manufacturing sector, predominantly making materials for the aerospaceand power generation industries.They are seeking Production Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be rotating shift pattern of 0700-1900 & 1900-0700. In this role, you will be reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will have overall responsibility for safety, quality, equipment,throughput, cost, delivery, and personnel on shift. In addition, the role will be responsible of performance plans, zero harm defects, productivity and OEE.Production ManagerKey Responsibilities

  • Will establish priorities relating to plant requirements
  • Will lead the team in developing and implementing effective systems for improving internal and external quality, cost improvements and on-time delivery to the customer requirements
  • Accountable for daily analysis of variable labour costs, working with Production Team leaders to determine required staffing levels
  • Is accountable for all aspects of HSE
  • Will use Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Tools such as SPC, FMEAs, 6S and Lean Sigma structured problem-solving techniques to drive improvements
  • Will lead an area on Zero Harm, driving risk reduction using the PDCA cycle

  • Working knowledge of Continuous improvements methodology and appropriate coaching and teaching skills are an advantage
