Job Description

Process EngineerSwansea21299/617£36,000 to £40,000A fantastic opportunity for a Process Engineer has arisen with a rapidly expanding company. The company are offeringhuge opportunity for career development with a competitive salary.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Engineering Manager in the effective delivery of operational performance ensuring project deliverables are achieved on time and to budget.
  • Assist the Engineering Team with capital projects including direct involvement in electrical, mechanical and software modification.
  • Support the Senior Leadership in the effective delivery of Processes and Methods that promote effective controls relating to Quality, Safety & Environment impacts.
  • Ensure that the companys Standard Operating Procedures (Instructions) are clear and concise, to provide a Right First-Time approach to manufacturing
  • Continuous improvement of process and procedures to improve RFT, PPM.
  • Introduce and monitor a TPM and maintenance system for machinery on site.
  • Improve productivity and efficiency to decrease operational costs.
  • Evaluate the need for new and or improved systems, technology and or processes.
  • Ensure that the Customer Service Team are supported in the timely delivery of quotations.
  • Ensure that CNC programs are error free and available to production prior to manufacturing.
  • Support the effective induction and awareness training for all new processes and procedures.
  • Focus on innovative techniques in staff behaviour to increase quality and drive a reduction in accidents or incidents.
  • Ensure workplace standards are always sustained.
  • Ensure that all operational accidents, incidents and or dangerous occurrences are investigated, recommendations made, actions undertaken to prevent reoccurrence.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • CAD/CAM knowledge and experience with CNC Routing (Rhino, V-Carve - desirable).
  • A flexible, problem-solving approach and an understanding of the effects of change and growth in a manufacturing environment, whilst striving for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  • An ability to creatively determine the most effective commercial outcome possible to support Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Expectations.
  • A strong ability to manage your time in the most effective manner to achieve all objectives on time.
  • Ideally, you will also be Lean/Six Sigma trained, with a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, however candidates with relevant experience having attained HNC/HND in the above disciplines will also be considered.
