Job Description

The Recruitment Co. are currently recruiting for a Power Press Technician to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Swansea area.Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £30,000 Working hours: Full time 39 hours day shifts: Mon-Thurs: 7.30am-4.30pm & Fridays 7.30am-12.30pmOur client is looking for a technician to run and maintain a 400 tonne press machine. The ideal candidate will have/responsibilities:-

  • Hold or have held a PUWER Power Press Qualification and/or be willing to attend refresher training
  • Have experience of press setting and operating
  • Have experience of coil fed production lines
  • Be responsible for the use of press machines
  • Be responsible for efficient change over and setting of presses
  • Be responsible for identifying routine maintenance procedures and break down support as appropriate
  • Oversee press process to ensure smooth running
  • Have experience of safely and efficiently setting of all single hit & progression press tools
  • Plan production schedule to maximise efficiency and minimise waste in line with customer demand
  • Safely and efficiently operate the Forklift truck
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the company through continuous improvement
