Job Description

Manufacturing EngineerPermanent Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pmCompetitive Salary + Excellent BenefitsSwanseaSince 1950, our client has been leading the industry in mill and melted products, supplying nearly one-fifth of the worlds titanium. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineerto drive variation reduction through use of process analytical toolsand shop floor engagement.Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and improving the method to deliver SQCDP performance.
  • Will be the process expert for the relevant department and liaise with other site Manufacturing Engineers to have full understanding of end to end process.=
  • Will have full understanding of product key characteristics and how those items are maintained in the production process
  • Responsible for establishing and developing process controls (KPVs) that support the right first time direction at process level.
  • Responsible for visualising process performance at process, area and business level.
  • Will assist in production related issues by efficiently resolving technical and quality referrals, non-standard events and other daily issues.
  • Responsible for controlling customer requirements at process level.
  • Will develop new and will improve existing processes to support production of products to broaden market share.
Manufacturing EngineerEssential Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent).
  • Demonstrated manufacturing and technical experience preferably within a metals manufacturing industry.
  • Understanding of how to develop a method of manufacture to meet customer requirements (design intent), by using Zero Defect tools like PFMEAs and change control (MOC).
  • Good understanding of lean manufacturing and six sigma.
Manufacturing EngineerDesirable Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
  • Experience in Aerospace and /or titanium manufacturing.
