Job Description

Linux EngineerSwansea / HybridUp to £50,000Yolk Recruitment are workingwith an innovative financial services in Swansea. They are looking for an experienced Linux Engineer (RedHat / CentOS) to join their Infrastructure Operations team.If successful you will be responsible for the maintenance & support of the companies hybrid Linux (RedHat / CentOS) Infrastructure environment (on-prem / virtual hosted) as well as the build of new scalable infrastructure. You will take a leading role in projectsimprovement projects such as cloud migrations & new server builds.They are based in Swansea and operating hybrid working with 2-3 days a week in the office.This is what youll be doing:

  • Participate in or carryout BAU, Projects, and R&D activities
  • To ensure the internal Service Management System (SCSM) is used to efficiently manage service requests, incidents, problems and changes
  • Build, Maintain, Troubleshoot, upgrade or develop the SQL Infrastructure
  • Build, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade or develop the VMware and storage infrastructure
  • Monitor, respond and report on capacity management and infrastructure performance and report to management
The experience youll bring to the team:
  • 3 years experience in a Linux Engineering / Linux administration role
  • Experience in RedHat & CentOS distors
  • Containerisation using Docker / Kubernetes
  • Ansible / Puppet
  • CI / CD tools such as Jenkins
What youll receive in return:
