Job Description

Lead Infrastructure Engineer | Swansea / Remote | Up to £60,000 | Financial Services | 2 Stage Interview ProcessYolk Recruitment are working with an expanding Financial Services company in Swansea whore looking for a Lead / Senior Infrastructure Engineer to step up into a hands on management role.As Lead infrastructure Engineer you will take on the day to day management of the team (currently 3 engineers) as well as acting as a technical lead & point of failure for infrastructure projects & support. They operate a Windows focused, diverse hybridinfrastructure environment with a mix on on-prem, virtual (VMware) & cloud hosted (Azure) solutions. To be successful you will need strong experience in Windows engineering, ideally with good exposure to Azure.Theyre based in Swansea & are happy to accept remote candidates as there is no requirement to work in the office.Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical & team leadership of 3 engineers, setting & monitoring SLAs, KPIs etc.
  • Acting as point of failure & technical lead for infrastructure projects & support.
  • Designing, building & managing Windows focused infrastructure (VMware / Azure).
  • Liaising with senior management to decide on strategic direction.
Skills Required:
  • Windows Server Management, VMware & Azure.
  • Exposure to leading / managing engineers.
  • Experience managing & delivering infrastructure projects i.e. Cloud migrations (Azure).
  • Networking skills would be beneficial (Firewalls, Routing, Switching).
