Job Description

Information Security ManagerSwansea / RemoteUp to £60000Yolk recruitment are working with an expanding Financial Services company looking for an experiencedInformation Security professional to join in a managementcapacity. Their head office is in Swansea but this role can be fully remote as long as you have theflexibility to come in for occasional meetings. This is a key role for them as they look to expand and move more infrastructure into the cloud. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security lead or manager or an analyst / engineer looking to step up into a management role.As Information Security Manager this is what youll be doing:

  • Owning and driving the Security Principles, Target Architecture, Best Practices and Roadmaps to continually improve the cyber security of Group systems and data
  • Assessing emerging technologies against existing and proposed best practice security architectures to determine where they fill gaps, overlap with existing solutions or extend capabilities
  • Servingas Information Security Subject Matter Expert; provide advisory and consulting services as needed and lead P1 Security Incidents
  • Maintaining knowledge of common risk frameworks (e.g. OWASP/SANS) and communicating to the team and wider department
  • Maintaining knowledge of compliance requirements/standards (e.g. EU Data Privacy Requirements, GDPR) and other security regulations, and communicating to the team and wider department
The experience youll need to bring to the team
  • CISSP or equivalent experience
  • Practical experience of compliance, such as ISO27001
  • Knowledge and practical experience in the application of security practices
  • Highly analytical, with an awareness of the potential risks associated with balancing the commercial and operational requirements with good security
  • Experience in delivering presentations to business leaders, managers and user
