Job Title: EMEA Technology Operations ManagerLocation: Swansea (Hybrid)Salary: £50,000 basic salary (dependant on experience)CPS Group UK Ltd are recruiting for a Technology Operations Manager to join an organisation that specialise in information security and cyber security training.You will be responsible for the management of a small team of Operations Technicians to ensure complete planning and support of venue network systems and technical equipment at EMEA live training events, as well as supporting various streaming platforms forvirtual (Live Online) events running within different time-zones.Main responsibilities:Live Event responsibilitiesRemote and on-site assessments of venue networks and Internet infrastructure.Serve as on-site and remote technical point of contact at regional training events.Communicate with on-site personnel and third-party vendors to convey network configuration requirements in advance of events.Troubleshoot venue network or Internet issues that arise during events.Collaborate with the Service Desk, Labs, Cyber Ranges and Security teams in support of student facing IT needs.Virtual (Live Online) Event ResponsibilitiesManage various platforms to ensure all groups etc are correct.Provide assistance and guidance to the Operations Technicians if they have questions.Provide assistance to instructors having issues with streaming platform (Zoom/GoToTraining/Slack).Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within class to upper tier support and oversee issues through to resolution.Line Management ResponsibilitiesDirect management and development of Operations Technicians, with assistance where needed by the Head of Operations and HR.Hiring/interviewing new technical staff as and when needed.Overseeing and arranging all individual and/or team training.Upskilling the team to ensure they are in line with technical developments of equipment (managed centrally with the USA).Work closely with the USA Technical Team to keep abreast of technical developments of equipment, actively participating and contributing to possible improvements in both equipment and planning/execution of any relevant business processes.Ensuring that EMEAs technology main assets are inventoried, safely stored, and kept up to date (e.g., laptop computers, iPhones, event technology equipment), working with the Procurement Manager to replenish as needed.To set and manage team agreed KPIs and other set objectives.Conduct and manage annual performance development reviews (PDRs) for team members.Essential skills & experience:1-3 years of hands-on experience installing and configuring computer networking equipment.Line management experienceProficient in identifying and troubleshooting availability and performance issues in a live environment.Competent in wired/wireless network concepts, hardware, cabling and best practices.Proficient in configuring enterprise grade routing and switching hardware.Experienced with network monitoring and traffic shaping solutionsGood understanding and experience with intelligent routing protocols, IaaS/SaaS, and virtualization.Familiarity with a programming language or scriptingKnowledge of stateful firewall configurationIf you have the skills & experience required and would like to apply for this role, please send an updated CV to or call Aimee on for more information.By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
