One of the leading trading companies in the world is looking for a talented Data Compliance & GDPR Officer to join them in the Swansea office due to increased business and growth internationally.About you....* You will be highly organised and proactive.* You will be able to work against tight deadlines with outstanding prioritisation skills.* You will be a problem solver with excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, participants and external sources* You are trustworthy and responsible and have experience in a similar role.* You will have excitement and enthusiasm whilst adaptable about change and thrive on working in a fast paced role and environment where nothing stands still for long....What you will be doing;Reporting to the Information Security Manager you will be responsible for GDPR compliance including maintaining data management frameworks and ongoing data security assurance as part of the Information Security Team.* Ensuring appropriate governance, policies and procedures. * Leading detailed gap analysis addressing data security, retention and privacy risks. * Reviewing and maintaining the Data Protection Policy and implement changes if necessary.* Reviewing and impacting assess policies and procedures in relation to GDPR/DPA and PECR. * This is a stand alone role with no people management responsibilities.What experience do you need as a Data Compliance & GDPR Officer;* Creation and maintenance of ROPA.* Conducting DPIA assessments.* Demonstrate solid knowledge of GDPR, national data protection laws and current good practice relating to protecting personal and sensitive information. * Knowledge of data processing operations in the Financial sector* Experience using OneTrust Software* EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation (EU GDPR F) and Practitioner (EU GDPR P) or equivalent.Whats in it for you;A great opportunity for the right person to join the organisation as they go through exciting business changes.
