Job Description

Home Instead in Swansea are looking for Care Assistants urgently, Home Instead is a care company like no other. They match clients to CAREGivers, so you can enjoy visiting the same clients’ week in, week out.The Role of a Care AssistantWe need superheroes to support lovely clients who need help to remain independent in their own home. Older people need SUPERHEROES LIKE YOU to assist them with:

  • Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping and activities
  • Light housekeeping
  • Planning and preparing meals
  • Assisting with personal care and helping with daily living routines. For example, helping the client get ready in the morning or getting them ready for bed.
  • Each Care Assistant is matched to a client, based on mutual interests and hobbies to encourage a strong relationship to develop.
    • Who we’re looking forNo experience is necessary, we have award-winning training and on-going development opportunities that will enable to you deliver our special brand of relationship-led care.Many of our Superhero CAREGivers have come from various backgrounds, in particular, people skills from retail and hospitality, have fitted perfectly into our relationship led care. The most common feedback we get is "I wish I had done this years ago!"We are looking for people who are:
  • Friendly, kind, compassionate people who like to spend time with older people and build a friendly but professional relationship
  • Must reside within postcodes SA1-SA7 in Swansea
  • Have a full drivers license and access to their own vehicle is essential
