Job Description

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic Business ManagementLecturer to become an integral part of our dynamic team in Swansea. As a Business Management Lecturer, you will develop and deliver engaging business and management classes, utilizing inclusive and accessible materials. You will employ interactive teaching techniques, provide academic support, and design authentic assessmentswith constructive feedback. Academic administration tasks include moderation, marking, and maintaining modules. You will contribute to curriculum development, collaborate with colleagues, and participate in initiatives for student retention. Continuous professionaldevelopment ensures you will stay current with advancements in the field and teaching technologies.Hours of Work: The post is fixed term, flexible hours for two semesters, from January –August 2024Salary: £36.50 - £45 per teaching hour depending on experience (plus meeting rate and marking rate for examinations)Business Management Lecturer Requirements:

  • Recent teaching experience in the discipline including business management, operations management, economics, and application in the workplace
  • Teaching experience at FE / HE level
  • Developing teaching and learning materials
  • Writing and moderating assessments
  • Proven experience of working effectively across academic and professional services teams.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • A teaching qualification would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business management principles
  • Excellent academic administration and time management skills
  • Ability to use own initiative but also know when to escalate issues/situations
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for imparting knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
