Do you have an interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities to enable themlead a more independent lifeAre you enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to enrich the lives within your careVetro Social Care are actively seeking experienced Adult Learning Disability Support Workers towork within an award winning service located in Swansea.Being a bespoke service for people who are aged 18 and upwards with spectrumconditions and associated complex needs; you will be supporting residents through a carepathway to help them live as independently as possible.This home offers a large comfortable lounge, separate dining room, kitchen, quietroom and conservatory as well as a meeting area and activities room, which residents are encouraged to use daily.Overview:

  • Job Type: Flexible agency work and block bookings
  • Shifts: Flexible pattern available, 8AM - 8PM / 8PM - 8AM
  • Pay: £11.68 ph (including holiday pay)

The role: What youll be doing as an Adult Learning Disability Support WorkerYou will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions andassociated complex needs which includes observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of residents conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, andhonesty. You will be helping withtheir progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have thesupport of a dedicated team of multi-disciplinary professionals as well.The candidate: What youll need to be successful as an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker
  • Desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning disabilities
  • Empathetic, caring & resilient nature
  • Minimum 6 months paid experience within a social care setting in the UK
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
