Job Description

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Finance Manager to work within a growing SME business, part of an International Group, based in Swadlincote.As the sole Finance person in the UK business in this newly created role, duties of the role will include:

  • Initially assessing the business needs and researching/ recommending new accounting software
  • Key point of contact for new systems implementation across the business
  • Responsibility for bringing outsourced accounts in house and uploading historical data
  • Covering all aspects of the finance function and day to day accounts preparation
  • Purchase and sales ledger
  • Overseeing payroll
  • Implementing full monthly management accounts procedures
  • Annual budget process
  • Cash-flow forecasting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Statutory accounts production
  • Main point of contact for the auditors and the banks
  • Producing timely management information with commercial input
  • Working across the business to streamline accounting processes and procedures
  • Ensuring that projects are running on time and to budget
  • Ensuring profitability of projects
  • working closely with sales/ operations and other business departments
  • any other ad hoc finance queries
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
  • Fully Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA
  • Experience working in an SME business
  • Finance systems implementation experience would be an advantage
  • Finnish, French or German language skills would be an advantage
  • Rental/ Project Accounting would be an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong Excel skills
