We are looking forYouth Workers, Foster carers and Special Needs Teaching Assistantsfor an expanding provision for children who have experienced trauma in South London. The provision has a current primary site in Sutton and new site openingin Surrey pupils moving up to KS3 or with additional needs.The school would require staff from September 2021 on a full-time basis 08:30am - 3:45pm Mondays to Fridays.The role would be as a Trusted Adult working in a small class of up to 8 pupils supporting pupils 1:1 or 2:1. Pupils in the school have a range of social difficulties such as trauma, PTSD, PDD, OCD and anxiety. Trusted Adults responsibilities will include creating resources, supporting in class with academic activities along with therapeutic activities such as speech therapy, play therapy,occupational therapy and animal therapy.Applicants will need to be confident in safeguarding and aware of the additional areas of pastoral support. Having additional experience as a Youth Worker, Foster Carer or with looked after children (LAC), CAMHS, mental health, special educational needs(SEN), PECS, TEACCH or Team Teach will be highly beneficial.The school are holding interviews and observation days till the end of July 2021 to appoint staff in preparation for a September 2021 start.Pay:£70-85 per day (negotiable dependant on experience)Location:Wallington, Surrey - accessible from Tooting Broadway, Wimbledon, Sutton, Mitcham and CroydonHours:08:30am04:00pm Mondays to FridaysDuration:September to December 2021 minimally with potential of continuing on a permanent contract dependant on positive feedbackPupil Needs:Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), ADHD, Autism (ASC), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), dyslexia, anxiety and trauma related issues.
