A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Supported Housing and Homeless Advice Team Leader to join one of Badenoch & Clarks most improved housing clients in a temporary role until they recruit permanently for this post.Based in Sutton in South-West London, this is a full time role (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday). This post is based in the Housing Advice, Information and Assessment Service and is focused on the delivery of a high quality and responsive advice and support service to empower the customer to prevent future homelessness and improve their health & wellbeing.Candidates will be expected to:* Line manage a team of four staff (Wellbeing Coaches, Floating Support & Tenancy Sustainment Officer & Supported Housing Pathway Officer)* Provide advice in areas such as security of tenure, housing rights following relationship breakdown, welfare and housing benefits, tax credits, debt counselling, housing options, employment and training opportunities etc.* Contribute to the recruitment, appointment and induction of staff.* Develop and maintain relationships with support providers & services in the borough, raising the profile of services available.* Develop and deliver outreach and support to professionals in key locations toachieve early intervention and prevent homelessness.* Carry out effective casework supervision and be responsible for monitoring staffperformance to ensure that all standards are met, performance targets areexceeded and decisions are made under the relevant legislation.* Taking a lead role in the development and delivery of services to Rough Sleepers in the borough.Please note, a proven track record in managing teams and delivering advice, guidance and support in a complex environment combined with a good working knowledge of housing legislation is required for this post.Only applicants who feel they meet the above criteria and can start on short notice (interviews will take place in week commencing Monday 7th June) need apply for this role.Badenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
