Job Description

Roofing Contracts Manager Needed! This position for a roofing contracts manager will be on a permanent basis. Our client is a well established Roofing Contractor, based in Sutton, Surrey, with coverage across the region and the UK nationwide. The successful contracts manager will ideally need to have experience working on various Metal, Flat Roof and Cladding projects. Other roofing experience is welcomed - but candidates with only Pitched roofing experience wont be considered.The successful roofing contracts manager will be working as part of a successful team that have been trading for over 80 years.This roofing contractor specialise in: Commercial, Leisure, Industrial, Education, Retail and Public Sector projects. Any experience working on these projects will be viewed favourably.Job Responsibilities

  • The correct candidate has to manage a team of 6 - 7 in the office and 15 x man site team and a team of sub-contractors.
  • Confident, ability to motivate staff, work under pressure and time frames.
  • The correct applicant would need to deal with calls beyond office hours and be available at weekends for Engineers to call regarding queries. Overseeing the organisation of the weekend and out of hours on-call roster will fall upon you, but an experienced Operations Manager would know this and be used to it as a way of life.
  • The role involves leading and developing the engineering department, reporting to the Operations Manager and also the day to day running of various projects across the UK.
