Our market sectors include community and public, custodial, secure healthcare and transport.The RoleThe Primary Shop contains automated, semi-automated and manual processes including press brakes, punch presses, CNC machine centres, large powder coat paint plant, spot welding, Mig and Tig manual welding. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experiencewith some of these machines and be comfortable gaining experience across the department.The Manager is responsible for the day to day people management of skilled & semi-skilled workers, including performance appraisals, identifying training requirements, and managing temporary worker levels.The Manager is responsible for the management, coordination, scheduling, prioritizing & monitoring of production requirements and activities to ensure all internal & external customer requirements are met, as well as developing and implementing plans tomeet production targets.Chargehands & the Manager are responsible for managing the flow of work through the Primary Shop ensuring this is done efficiently whilst minimizing down time and waste. Understanding of push & pull manufacturing to ensure flow of work meets capacity, coupledwith ensuring employee capacity are able to meet the demands.The Manager is responsible for ensuring lean principles are embedded in the department and providing continuous improvement solutions, including monitoring 5s procedures and processes, as well as utilising visual management in the department.The Responsibilities
