Job Description

Its a great chance to learn and grow under the guidance of someone who has lived and breathed his businesses core values for almost 40 years, and has much knowledge to share.You may be coming to us recently qualified in the CII Diploma or DipFA or you may be further in your career and already qualified as an adviser. Whichever, you can be assured of the opportunity to learn and take on the responsibility that you wish to assume when you are ready to do so.Our vision is that this role will continue to grow and eventually becomes a management position.Key duties will include working alongside the Proprietor in the ongoing management of the Centralised Investment Proposition, portfolio administration and regular client reporting. Essential Skills

  • We are looking for a minimum of three years experience gained from either a financial planning firm or investment company.
  • You may currently be a paraplanner who wishes to focus on investment work or engage in another investment or financial planning role.
  • Our ideal benchmark qualification is a level 4 CII, CISI or LIBF. However, we may consider candidates who are close to achieving this if they have other strong qualities or experience.
  • We require a good head for figures and a strong attention to detail.
  • The desire to reach the status where you are authorised to advise clients.
  • You must share our values and ethics around client service and charging.

  • Any experience in the key duties our role requires would be advantageous, as it would allow you step into the role sooner.
  • Preference could be given to candidates who live within an easy commute of our office.
  • We would like you to demonstrate that you are happy to work as part of a small team.
    • About Company We were formed nearly 40 years ago by our Proprietor Jon Sheffield. We operate as a directly authorised restricted advice firm providing whole of market advice on Pensions, ISAs and General Investment Accounts. Our main business activity is the servicing of our longstanding client base. We are in a fortunate position that we do not have to advertise or actively seek new clients, and client growth is almost entirely from client generated referrals. With no sales targets, our firms advisers operate on a salaried plus profit share basis.
