My client is looking to recruit a Deputy Account Manager on a permanent, full time basis.The Deputy Accounts Manager is deputy to the Head of Finance in a team of seven people that handles £10 million annual income.You will work closely with the Data Manager, Accounts Assistant,Direct Credits Coordinator, Data Input Coordinator and the Data Input Administrator. This role is crucial for income, payments, accounting and coordinating with the Accounts Department team.This role develops strong working relationships and liaises internally with the Data Manager, the Trading Manager and all members of the Accounts and Trading teams. The role also liaises externally with supplier credit controllers.Responsibilities• ‘Balance’ daily income between, SAGE, TRE and the bank.• Prepare day sheets for cheque and credit card income.• Analyse bank statements, for all types of direct credit income.• Balance legacy income and accrued legacies with the Legacy Officer monthly.• Balance standing order income• Balance other direct credit incomePayments• Prepare for paying, balance and post in SAGE (twice monthly).• Prepare for paying, balance and post in SAGE (monthly).• Manage petty cash, euro cash and dollar cash.Accounting• Prepare’ balance and post: Credit and debit cashbooks, Intercompany balances, One Card, Income day sheets, Invoices and expenses.• Reconcile in SAGE the bank accounts: current, deposit, euro, petty cash, euro and dollar cash• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are balanced including: All bank accounts Accrued Legacies Petty cash in £, $ and € Intercompany balance Salary, Pension and PAYE control accounts Sales ledger Purchase ledger andVAT• Post other journals, such as aid payment and salary.• Maintain files; Provide schedules as requested for annual accounts and audit.Department and Section Teams• Coordinate and record the annual leave and sick leave of all members of the team.• Liaise with the Head of HR & Office Manager as required.• Work with the Head of Finance to identify training for team development.The Deputy Accounts Manager will deputise for the following roles in the absence of other members of the team:• All aspects of the Head of Finance’s post in his absence.• The section leadership in the absence of the Data Input Coordinator.• Specific deputisation: - CAF’s for the Gift Aid & Direct Credits Officer- Worldpay and PayPal export for Data Input Coordinator- Cashbook and Daily Income for Accounts AssistantTechnical Competencies• SAGE 200 accounts package.• AAT level 3 or equivalent.• ICT literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel as well as the internet.• Knowledge of bespoke database The Raiser’s Edge desirable.Info• 37.5 hour week8.30 am to 4.30 pm.• 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays after five full years of employment.• Time in lieu policy plus mileage and out of pocket expenses for working at events• Auto-enrolment onto our pension scheme after three months’ probation with 5% matched contributions.
