Inspire the next generation of leaders at Harris Academy SuttonWe are looking for an inspirational and talented qualified English or SEN teacher to build upon our excellent SEN provision in our expanding academy.Your opportunityAs an outstanding English teacher or SEN practitioner you will work closely with the SENCo and Principal to ensure excellent day to day management of our SEN provision. You will also work closely with subject leads across the academy on all aspects of curriculum development and differentiation regarding teaching and learning in relationto students with SEN.The successful applicant will look to build a portfolio of evidence that would support a move to a role as Lead Practitioner for SEN in September 2022.We can offer you the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. What we are looking for:We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We are looking for:

At least three years teaching experience

Ideas of how Language, Literacy and Numeracy can be used across the curriculum to raise standards

Ideally, knowledge of student welfare issues including child protection, raising achievement of children in care, refugees, SEND provision etc.

QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree

About Harris Academy SuttonHarris Academy Sutton opened in September 2018 as a brand new, state-of-the-art 11-18 co-educational academy in the heart of Sutton. With a specialism in Science, the academy collaborates closely with its neighbours on the London Cancer Hub site: the Institute of Cancer Research and the Royal Marsden Hospital.
