Whats in it for meWe are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator for our client based in Sutton Coldfield. As a Saw Operator you will be required to operate the saw to cut materials to customer requirements.Salary: £12.28 per hour & £14.50 night shift allowanceHours of work: Sunday to Wednesday (4 nights) 21:3008:00This is a straight permanent role.Day to Day Duties Check the material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting Check the cut plan, and any additional drawings to agree with advised sizes on sale order before cutting Cut and verify parts are within customer required tolerances, using tape, micrometer, and caliper instruments Adherence to health and safety at all times Program saw for cutting operation. Mark each part with hard stamp, grain flow, USD, lot number Labels each part with any special requirements Performs daily maintenance checks to saw Weighs all cut pieces and rems Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging Operates fork trucks and jib cranes when required Performs daily safety checks to fork trucks and jib cranes, and vac-lifts Manual lifting up to 20kgsEssential Skills Basic mathematical skills including add, subtract, divide, common fractions and decimals Experience operating machinery Knowledge of a production facility and manufacturing processes Willing to work extra to meet deadlines and when the business needs require Willing to travel to other sites, including overseas if requiredDesirable Experience Experience working in a similar roleWhat training is providedTraining will be providedContactApply today by clicking below or giving our team a call onPhone:
