MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Sutton Coldfield Permanent Salary: £33,000Minimum Qualification: Relevant apprentice or formal qualification in mechanical engineering.Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years in a Manufacturing/Engineering or Mechanical environmentWorking Hours: 38 per week, Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 12pm.Job Summary: Maintaining and repairing plant equipment, tools and processes, trouble shooting and administering of preventative maintenance within a busy manufacturing environment.Professional Profile* Honest, Reliable and Self-motivated.* Meticulous attention to detail.* Strong work ethic.* Ability to use own initiative.* Physically fit.* Good communicator and leader.* Flexible and adaptable with good dexterity.* Team Worker* Confidence to respond positively when under pressure.Skills* Experience of Pneumatic, hydraulics and mechanical systems* Excellent fault finding skills* Effective Communication and interpersonal skills* Able to read and interpret Hydraulic and Pneumatic drawings* Experience of working on CNC Machines* Power Press experience preferred but not essential* Forklift Licence preferred but not essentialKey Tasks* Take a responsible approach to Health, Safety and Environmental risks in relation to your own job role and others, to control the risks or report them to coordinators or management appropriately.* Responding to immediate machinery breakdowns* Repairing equipment* Liaising with suppliers and other maintenance/technical support from machine manufacturers* Specifying replacement parts and tools* Diagnosing and Identifying faults* Preventative maintenance. Including servicing, inspecting, periodic tests, and cleaning plant and other associated equipment* Overhauling and replacing mechanical parts* Implementation and continued compliance of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation in line with our management policies* Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety personal protective equipment including work boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, overalls as required and instructedWorking Relationships* Responsible to the Operations Director* Reporting to the Maintenance Administration Co-ordinator* Working within the maintenance team, with subcontract engineers and equipment suppliers supporting the production managers and coordinators.Kelly Services are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this role.
