We’re working with a small, but perfectly formed communications agency as they look to add a junior designer/artworker to their team in 2024. What’s more they’d really like to have someone on board who they can train and improve their skills. The role:Working within the b2b sector, this agency has a real specialism across professional services and the work that they produce is actually very print heavy, some of which is very time critical so this will be a role where speed and accuracy will be important. They’d like someone who can help design and build WordPress websites to client specifications, and to manage content management systems to update and maintain websites. You’ll also be working within the team to create graphics for social media or marketingcampaigns as well as creating visually appealing designs for various print materials which could include brochures, flyers, stationery as well as print adverts. You’ll work with a senior designer within the team and they will help to train and develop your skills, and whilst you’ll be expected to have the design basics under your belt, they’re not expecting you to know everything. What we’re looking for:This is an ideal role for someone looking for their first role after completing a graphic design degree or similar, someone who has excelled on the course but perhaps lacks the real world experience of a busy studio to allow them to further their career. You’ll be highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) and have some experience of web design as well as knowing your way around Office 365 (including Word and PowerPoint). You might have animation or photographyskills and also HTML and CSS basic knowledge, but these aren’t essential for the role. You’ll be able to work independently and as part of a team and be aware of graphic and web design trends and will be able to meet deadlines. We’re also looking to see aportfolio of work which showcases your eye for design. What’s on OfferThis isn’t a role where you’re constantly going to be challenged to come up with hugely creative concepts, but it is a brilliant opportunity to get your foot on the career ladder, working with some outstanding clients and really learning and honing yourtrade. Salary for the role is c£21,000 and they work on a hybrid basis. Our client is looking to start their interview process in January.
