Job Description

Role: Helpline Administration SupportBased: BirminghamRate:£12ph umbrellaStart Date: ASAPDuration: Temp to PermHours: Full Time 37.5 hoursOur client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity based in Birmingham is looking to recruit a Helpline Administrator to provide support and immediate safety planning to survivors (adults 18+), professionals, and 3rd party callers on the Helpline and wheninitially referred into service.Synopsis of duties:

  • Inputting referrals onto secure information system (INform)
  • Carrying out referral assessment checks.
  • Updating and maintaining service email inboxes
  • Assist with the MARAC process for the teamresearching case logs and preparing research for the team to present at meetings.
  • Supporting team members with reporting and administrative tasks (data reports, rotas, team calendars)
  • Provide timely initial response to Survivors, professionals and 3rd party calls via both the helpline, email and web chat functions. Including identifying support needs and risks in partnership with Survivor, safety planning and where appropriate completinga DASH RIC form.
  • Make appropriate referrals to the Medium and High-Risk Support Service
  • Navigate and signpost Survivors, professionals, and 3rd parties to other services
  • Share information safely and securely to ensure confidentiality and compliant with Data Protection legislation and GDPR compliance
  • Ensure that Adult and Childrens Safeguarding Policies are adhered to, and that statutory Safeguarding Procedures are utilised where appropriate
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children, acknowledging safeguarding concerns and responding appropriately
  • Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse in a professional capacity
