Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Head of Supply Chain to join a leading manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. You will lead the Supply Chain team driving performance across all aspects of S&OP / SIOP, to support manufacturing inthe delivery of all key metrics.Head of Supply Chain Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high performing team to deliver change and implement a best in class supply chain function to meet customer demand
  • Leadership, development and performance management of the Supply team
  • Optimise inventory levels and drive the investment and implementation of new systems across all aspects of the supply chain to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Lead, coach and develop supply chain teams and drive personal development
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
Head of Supply Chain Requirements:
  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent
  • Senior management level experience would be advantageous
  • Have a proven track record in implementing "best in class supply chain processes"
  • Proven track record delivering positive change across a fast-paced supply chain, optimising inventory levels whilst maintaining excellent service levels
  • Strong understanding of operational excellence processes, with the ability to integrate more effective planning within the business to deliver improved operational practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with external parties
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing Systems
  • MRP and ERP skills and knowledge
