You can view our YouTube video to see more about our workJob descriptionThe ChallengeThis role is based within Data Analytics & Insight (DA&I), which leads on the delivery and oversight of bespoke analytical projects to support evidence-based decision making in DIO. The Geo-Spatial Data Manager role requires an individual who is highly analytical and able to engage with stakeholders, applying Geographic Information (GI) skills and knowledge of best practice in geospatial data management to support the business and specifically the Geospatial functional area. The post holder is expected to be able to interact with stakeholders and industry partners at all levels as well as the DA&I as a whole so good communication skills are key. Post LocationDIO Data, Analytics & Insight are based in three main regions around the UK - East of England, Yorkshire & Humber and West Midlands. We will look to locate you in one of these regions where possible. Where this is not possible, we will look to assign an alternative MOD establishment as your duty station. Work location will be agreed once the successful candidate has been selected.ResponsibilitiesMain ResponsibilitiesThe Geo-Spatial Data Manager must have knowledge based upon experience of delivering via the use of GIS tools in the following key areas: • Definition and support of user requirements • Exploitation of available GI data • User engagement to improve skills and knowledge across DIO • Enhancing the capability of the geospatial and analytical functions by providing the geospatial data element • Establishing and agreeing milestones within the delivery plan • Helping with the facilitation of workshops to promote good practice and positively influence attitudes.BehavioursWell assess you against these behaviours during the selection process:
