Walters people are currently working alongside a leading business in based in Sutton Coldfield in their recruitment of a Financial Controller on a permanent basis paying up to £50k dependent on experience.Key Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:* Leading the year end audit process, preparing financial statements and guiding Malaysia through external and internal audits.* Monthly custom submissions and declarations. * Tax compliance and regulatory reporting. * Being the main contact for any regulatory and compliance issues with regards to Malaysia. * Helping deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements * Assisting the business with ad hoc needs * Proactively seeing out opportunities to improve systems and business processes to drive efficiencies in internal and external reporting * Implementation of new e-invoicing systemAbout you as the Financial Controller:* ACCA Finalist - minimum 3 papers remaining * Strong academic record (graduated with a 2:1 or above) * Experience working in a similar role, particularly General and Analytical Accounting * Experience of managing people * Experience of financial statement preparation (either IFRS or UK GAAP) * Experience in preparing financial statements and working with auditorsIf you want to be considered for this role, all applicants must submit CVs online or send to If you have not been contacted within a week of your application, please assume that you have been unsuccessful in your application process.Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
