Job Description

Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer£42,000 + Fantastic Benefits!Working 4 and a half days per week early finish on a Friday!Are you an experienced Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer that wants to work for a leading manufacturing businessOur client is seeking a highly motivated Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a leading manufacturer that supply into the rail and power industry they are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in quality, innovation, and environmentalcare. Safety is their top priority, and they are committed to promoting a positive health and safety culture across their organisation.Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, the Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their manufacturing environment.Your responsibilities will include:Technical Expertise: Maintaining and repairing plant equipment, tools, and processes, including troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance.Technical Proficiency: Reading detailed electrical schematics, testing in live conditions, and resolving faults involving PLC work.Efficiency: Striving to meet or exceed KPIs and metrics while understanding and aligning with company objectives.Immediate Response: Responding to machinery breakdowns promptly and effectively.Electromechanical Skills: Repairing and installing SERVO motors, realigning CNC machines, and stripping and rebuilding complex machinery.Precision: Understanding and working with detailed drawings and liaising with suppliers and technical support from machine manufacturers.Resource Management: Specifying replacement parts and tools and diagnosing and identifying faults.Preventative Maintenance: Performing servicing, inspections, periodic tests, and cleaning of plant and associated equipment.Overhauls: Overhauling and replacing electrical and mechanical parts.Mentoring: Willingness to work with apprentices, demonstrating best practices in equipment maintenance and health and safety.Documentation: Ensuring that all work completed is properly documented and auditable.Scheduling: Adhering to schedules as instructed and agreed upon with the Line Manager.Professional Skills:Minimum qualification of a full apprenticeship or formal qualification in mechanical engineering.PLC and Electromechanical bias.Qualifications:" Relevant up-to-date electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition)" 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing Maintenance environment." Proficiency in electrical systems with the ability to read and interpret drawings." Excellent fault-finding skills.Competencies:" Self-Motivated: Ability to determine and complete necessary tasks with minimal supervision." Time Management: Strong time management skills to ensure all work is completed efficiently." Attention to Detail: Possess a strong attention to detail." Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills." Initiative: Ability to use own initiative." Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment." Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team."
