Job Description

We are currently working with a School in the Sutton Coldfield area rated "Good" by OFSTED. This school is a warm and welcoming environment and the staff establish and maintain strong working relationships with the pupils in the school, based on respect.The general behaviour of the pupils is good and the students feel safe within the school. Leaders within this school have created an Environment where the students enjoy learning and the staff feel supported to progress with their development.The school is currently looking for a 1:1 SEN TA to work with a Year 1 child currently working on an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). The child is non-verbal and is working at Reception Level so the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and ableto differentiate effectively for the child. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Providing structured support in alignment with the pupils ECHP and/or IEP.
  • Offering tailored assistance to your 121 pupil and other students in the class.
  • Accompanying your 121 child on trips and visits.
  • Undertaking basic administrative tasks to prepare resources for each lesson.
  • Taking responsibility for acquiring additional resources to aid your 121 child in accessing lesson content.
  • Effectively differentiating lesson content to cater to the specific needs of your 121 child.
  • Maintaining professional responsibility for the well-being of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies.
