Our business aims to be the number one Hotel and Resort in the UK.We are currently looking for a Deputy Head Gardener to work as part of our fantastic Green Keeping Team.Duties of the job Include but are not limited to…• We are looking for horticulture design talent • Good understanding of delivering outstanding Garden designs • Undertake regular strimming and Flymo duties on a regular basis; you will be required to operate the relevant machinery in line with Health and Safety standards Litter checks and any building maintenance relating to overgrowth of plants.• To monitor the grounds property on the perimeter of the golf courses and all resort areas.• To undertake the trimming of hedges and shrubbery and cultivation of shrubs and flower beds.• The application of any fertilisers and pesticides for all ornamental planting.• To report any tree-trimming needed throughout the grounds.• To undertake general course maintenance on a daily basis under the management of the Head Greenkeeper • Maintain the courses to come in line with The Belfry brand standards • To undertake general mowing duties on a daily basis once competent including Greens, Tees, Fairways, Rough and Semi Rough areas to the required standards. • Ensure fantastic customer service when in contact with guests around the resort.• Although we do try to give all of our employees a good work life balance you may be required to work some evenings and weekends in this role.• THIS IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LISTFor all of your hard Work you will be rewarded with…• Free Uniform• Free Meals on duty• Free Parking onsite• Discounts on stays at The Belfry• Up to 40% Food and Beverage discount• Discounted Leisure / Gym Membership• Discounted Spa treatments• Discounted Stay throughout our partner properties• Heavy discounts on high street retailers• Plus many moreDue to the high number of applications only successful candidates will be contacted within 10 working days
