Job Description

The Content Controller is responsible for creating and maintaining the web copy and content for an allocated group of local director microsites. You will need to ensure that your writing is customer focused and adheres to our brand tone of voice, whilst also ensuring that it is constructed for use primarily in the digital domain.   • Regular production of and adherence to a content delivery schedule;
  • Engaging SEO optimised website copy and content
  • Organic search performance for agreed KPI keywords
  • Metrics such as conversion rates, that demonstrate value of effort and client engagement with the websites;
  • Be the editor and controller for the online content for a group of regional branches
  • Responsibility for managing a tight production schedule of site launches and updates
  • Building relations with operations, taking supplied information from regional branch locations and turning it into enticing and engaging online copy that resonates with our audiences
  • Editorial requirements include SEO understanding, content categorisation and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
  • Accountable for relevant content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that ultimately deliver sales
  • Close working relationships with creative resources including in-house artworking team and external agencies to ensure timely delivery of assets and creative items
  • Work closely with colleagues to gain missing information or to discover background for new ideas
  • Measure and report on success using analytics and provide recommendations for future development
  • Keep up to date with the news agenda and flag relevant stories that can support our engagement
  • Maintain a clear and consistent tone of voice in line with the brand values
  • Profile
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload, executing an ongoing plan
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • A positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent technical skills with experience of using Content Management Systems
  • An advanced understanding of SEO
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS would be desirable
  • Understanding of tracking technology implementations (such as Google Analytics) would be desirable
  • Accurate with a good attention to detail
  • Ability to write and create content with little oversight and direction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adopt the style, tone and voice in the business
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • A team player with the ability to react to urgent requirements
  • Keen to continually develop digital knowledge
