Job Description

Chartered Building Surveyor – Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham , Midlands regionSalary: To £60k dependent upon experience , plus bonusThe companyOur clients are Chartered Surveyors located in the West MidlandsThey provide expert and impartial advice on all types of property matters nationwide and where required for specific clients, worldwide and their clients include Commercial, Industrial, Investment, Ecclesiastic, Education, Local Authorities, Pension Funds, Landlords, Tenants and Private Individuals.Their services include Building Surveys, commonly known as Structural Surveys or Surveys on the Structural Condition and State of Repair and they have extensive experience surveying all property types, working with the customer on a personal level to make sure that they have all the information needed to make an informed decision on the property purchase or acquisition and management.The RoleOur clients are actively seeking to employ a Chartered Building Surveyor. The work covers all aspects of building surveying work and you will have direct access to clients who include Retail, Industrial, Education, Developers ,Ecclesiastic, Local and National Government and ResidentialThe candidate will have experience with Level III Building Surveyors, Schedules of Dilapidations and Negotiation, Schedules of Condition, Planned Maintenace Programmes, Defect Diagnosis, Expert Evidence, Party Walls and Neighbourly Matters, Design & Specification Small Works, Project Management & Contract Administration.As part of a small well established professional client focused team they have a wide and varied client base providing many varied instructions. Due to continued expansion they require a dynamic individual to join with a view to a long term senior position in the company.The person must be a member of the RICS, have wide ranging experience in all aspects of building surveying likely including:Specification writing and contract administration, schedules of condition, defect analysis, report writing, technical due diligence, dilapidations, building pathology, planned maintenance, reinstatement cost assessments, expert witness and party wall and neighbourly mattersThe candidate must be personable, have a sense of humour, have a full driving licence, be competent with Microsoft office packages and IT literate, be confident with direct client relationships, be proactive, a team player and have a commercial understanding.Key SkillsThe candidate must be personable, have a sense of humour, have a full driving licence, be competent with Microsoft office packages and IT literate, be confident with direct client relationships, be proactive, a team player and have a commercial understanding.
