Job Description

An opportunity for a Live Fire Trainer on a fixed term contact for 12 months at Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) based at the Learning and Development Department at Wray Park in Reigate.SFRS are recruiting for an experienced Breathing Apparatus Instructor to work in the Live Fire department within Learning and Development. Our training site in Reigate includes a carbonaceous fire house and two attack box units where training on the safe extinguishment of fire and rescue of casualties is carried out for new entrants to the fire service as well as refresher training for our experienced firefighting staff.Ideally you may hold other skills, such as Compartment Fire Behaviour Instructor and Tactical Ventilation Instructor, but the critical skill you will need is to be a Breathing Apparatus Instructor.SFRS will invest in your further development, including instructor and teaching qualification.Please refer to the job description and personal specification below for more information.Job AdvertThis is a 12 month fixed term contract.This role will receive a 10% salary enhancement for flexible working which means that you will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
