Supply Chain Specialist - Fabrications CategoryWould you like to be part of our Category Management Team We currently have a vacancy for a Supply Chain Specialist at one of our sites in Frimley, BroadOak or New Malden.As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will form part of the Category Management team focussing on supporting the delivery of the fabrications category strategy. This is a high impact category, core to BAE Systems delivery of our Combat Systems products & capabilityto our naval customers across the globe.This role will provide you with the opportunity to identify and deliver tangible change/transformation and make a difference within the team. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow both as an individual and part of the team and develop a strongand collaborative network with the wider BAE Systems business.Ideally suited to an individual with potential, who has career aspirations to grow within the organisation, is results focussed, with a curious, growth focussed mind-set and an interest in delivering improvement.Your main responsibilities as a Supply Chain Specialist will involve: The Delivering category objectives in line with the functional plan.Delivering and measuring performance improvement (process/suppliers)Provision of category service to the contract delivery teamWorking with fabrications category team to deliver against category strategyLeverage strategic & high volume suppliers & portfolios of equipment of coherent typeAct as an advocate to supplier innovation to support future needs of products & businessDeveloping & Managing standardised & optimised framework agreementsIdentifying & collaborating on category & contract specific challenges & opportunitiesReaching back to plc & wider BAE leverage for challenges & opportunitiesYour skills and qualifications:Essential:Experience and/or knowledge of category management (engineering background working in fabrications or track record of looking for efficiencies/effectiveness - identifying improvements and delivering on those)Experience of delivering against or improving KPIs/performance metricsExperience of change transformation/improvementGood commercial and business acumen - make decisions, have an understanding ofcontracts/statements of work, delegation of authorityDesirable:CIPS qualified (or equivalent) or working towardsEngineering backgroundPrevious experience working within a regulated environment such as defence, engineering, oil & gas, constructionWhat were looking for in you:Strong communicator who can be confident engaging with external/ internal stakeholders and being able to influence when necessary.Must have a keen interest in the function and show an interest in grown own knowledge.Location: Frimley, BroadOak or New Malden.Salary: £37k+ depending on experienceBenefits: Our employees receive an excellent benefits package which includes a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
