Job Description

Through growth, they now require an experienced Tax & Trust Manager to join their team where you will be rewarded with an strongsupport network, a growing team and a competitive salary.At the core of the firms ethos lies a commitment to people and much of their work comes from referrals and recommendationsThe Role: The firm is now looking for a Tax and Trust Manager to join their expanding offering in Guildford covering Private client matters across the broader Surrey, Hampshire and London offices.The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, and have strong Excel skills and knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping along with tax return and accounts software. ,

  • Undertake fee-earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the division.
  • To deliver a quality private client services ensuring quality standards and professional ethics.
  • Provide assistance to the Trust Director and accountancy support to the wider Private Client team.
  • Lead on client relationships, liaise with clients, intermediaries and tax authorities.
  • Identify and advising on tax-planning opportunities for clients and supervision and preparation of:
  • Trust and estate accounts, Company and personal, estate and trust tax computations
  • Complete HMRC forms associated, accounting reports for UK and overseas tax compliance matters
  • Assist in overseeing the teams caseload of individuals, trusts and estates.
  • Preparing CGT calculations, trust accounts, estate accounts and non-resident trust tax pool calculations
Key Requirements for the role will be:
  • A Qualified Tax or Accountant via either ATT, STEP, ACA or equivalent
  • Be an experienced Trusts Manager with proven experience handling tax and trust matters
  • Excellent communication skills and team work ability
  • Competent user of business information systems and in particular advanced user of MS Excel.
