Job Description

Opportunity for an experience Regulatory Affairs individual to join a fast paced consumer environment based in Surrey. The department has had exponential growth recently and is looking to add to the team.Client DetailsReally exciting role within a consumer business that is in need of someone strategic and commercially minded to assist Marketing and Sales with any requirements they may have, as well as being responsible for the entire product portfolio from a regulatory perspective.DescriptionThe ideal RA Manager will have:

  • Manage and maintain the pesticide/biocide/fertiliser registrations in the UK and Ireland (UK/IE) and management of the team associated with this
  • Lead the UK focused team
  • Work with the International team in the submission or new or re-registration dossiers for the controls products
  • Support the local sales/distributor and marketing team sign off on labels, catalogues and advertising etc. Advising the business on registration strategies for the (UK/IE).
  • Liaison regulatory authorities and industry associations in the UK/IE countries.
  • Supporting Purchasing/Supply Chain with market knowledge and sourcing of third party products.
  • Supervision as necessary of contractors for the UK/IE
  • Monitor local legislation & associated businesses for FTO issues.
  • Help in preparation of Regulatory Affairs budget
  • Responsible for ensuring products hold appropriate registration authority approval in the UK/IE region
  • Responsible for supporting the UK/IE business for regulatory strategy in the region
  • Grow the business in the UK/IE region within the target set
  • Quality: Product Safety and Integrity in the market
  • R+D: Regulatory support for the UK/IE.
  • Purchasing: Registration advice and market knowledge
  • Packaging: Labelling and safety design advice
  • Marketing: Product Approvals; Labelling; Product Safety
  • Registration Authorities: - Management of registration data and first point of contact
  • Poison Centres/Hospitals/Vets: Submission of SDS or legal required information
  • Reports directly to the Director of Regulatory Affairs
  • Work conducted on agreed priorities with consideration for marketing functions, or as required by registration authorities or legislation.
  • Budgeted revenue expenditure to be agreed.
  • ProfileThe ideal RA Manager will have:
  • Must have experience with Plant Protection and Biocides Regulations
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field
  • Ability to find and interpret physchem, toxicological, ecotoxicology or environmental information.
  • Must have a corporate mentality and be comfortable to present cross functionally
  • Must be either open to managing or have experience of managing a team
