Job Description

JOB-Quality TechnicianLOCATION- SurreyTERM- PermanentSALARY- £33,000- £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)We are looking fora Quality Technician on a permanent basis in the Surrey area. Experience with CMM inspection for mechanical components is essential.The Quality Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Working within a Quality Inspection department for at least 2 years
  • Ability to read & interpret technical drawings
  • Practical & methodicalright first time methodology
  • Problem solver/solution provider ensuring quality is everyones responsibility within the company
  • CMM programming experience (Aberlink or Renishaw Modus DMIS) preferred
  • Hands-on/Dexterous capabilities
  • Good general IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Great time management skills
  • Ability to work with own initiative under minimal supervision
TheQuality Technician role will involve:
  • Inspection of mechanical components to Engineering drawings accurately and confidently
  • Writing programmes for the CMM
  • The use of manual methods of inspection (micrometers, slip gauges, plug gauges etc)
  • Liaise cross functionally between departments
  • Ensure equipment remains within its calibration period and does not expire
  • Make a positive contribution to maintain H&S and the workplace remaining tidy to a high standard
  • Carry out any other additional duties within reasonable capability as required by Supervisor
