Job Description

When you think about it, you rely on your water supply every single day. Whether its brushing your teeth, washing your hands or brewing your morning cup of tea - turn on the tap and away you go. Its an expectation youve come to know that whenever you need it, water will be - quite literally - on tap. But what if that wasnt the case In these challenging times, its essential to keep up the supply of safe, high-quality drinking water to households and communities up and down the UK - ensuring that this isnt another thing they need to be concerned about. Travelling from place to place couldnt be easier as youll be given a brand new company van to drive to/from sites according to your schedule. What do I needAs youll be working primarily with electrical and mechanical plant and equipment, youll hold a recognised electrical/mechanical qualification and have demonstratable experience of working on this kind of equipment. Experience in a similar process-driven environment is essential as were looking for individuals with an engineering mindset who can apply their electrical and mechanical expertise to identify and resolve faults. As the service youll provide is essential to the customer, youll be comfortable participating in a standby rota to ensure someones always on call if theres an operational issue. Its all part of your outstanding service. Whats in it for meThe work youll do is essential for Affinity Water to deliver safe, clean drinking water to over 3.6 million customers every day. In return, youll be entitled to a host of benefits including a double-matching pension scheme, on-the-job training and opportunities to undertake further education, career progression, and a holiday allowance that increases with length of service.
