Job Description

Lead Electrician Surrey/LondonNew build, redevelopment and Audio VisualAlecto recruitment are currently representing an industry leading electrical contractor and Audio Visual Installer based in Surrey, now seeking a Lead Electrician to join their team.The Company:Having been in business since 2010, my client initially started out as an electrical contractor and solar PV installer, but then increasingly involved in Audio Visual.Collaborating with architects, developers and main contractors, my client offer solutions for new build and redevelopments, undertaking the complete electrical works, including home automation.They also provide general electrical services within the domestic and commercial sectors, including the installation of renewables and low energy solutions.Work typically includes

  • New build fit-outs and renovations; specialising in the high end market.
  • Control4, Lutron and Crestron accredited installation. The company achieved Control4 Gold status in year one, and install lighting, blind and audio-visual controls.
  • MCS accredited installers of solar panels on residential and commercial properties all over the south of England and will also install battery systems (Tesla Powerwall Certified).
    • The Role:
  • Standard Electrician duties
  • Responsible for Supervising various projects as Lead Engineer
  • Producing regular Work Breakdown Structures and keeping Management informed on the progress of projects and informing Management of any issues and variations
  • Overseeing the work of directly employed electricians and external contractors
  • Problem solving
  • Ensuring compliance with specification / drawings
  • Day to day operational decisions
  • Attending Progress Meetings with the Client, as required
  • Goal / target setting for the projects
    • The successful candidate must have:
  • At least 10 years experience as a fully qualified Electrician working on domestic installations (new build installations, refits and property upgrades).
  • City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 or equivalent NVQ Level 3
  • AM2
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2392 Test and Inspection Qualifications
  • Experience of Test and Inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications/ drawings.
  • Full UK driving licence
    • Desirable experience:
  • Experience in hi-end residential
  • ECS card (not essential, but will be required to access certain sites)
  • Solar PV experience (training can be given)
  • Experience of AV installations
  • Tools suitable for the work to be undertaken (but we would provide specialist drills and test equipment will be provided)
  • 18th Edition
    • Package:
  • £37,000 - £45,000 basic salary
  • Company vehicle and uniform
  • Overtime available
